New Holiday For Sir Tully

We are all born in different places.  A house, an apartment, a treehouse, the desert, the city, the country, an island or if you are a dragon like Tully, a cloud. Not all dragons are born high up in the sky, apparently. Some start out in volcanos, some in tall, tall buildings - who knew?

The important thing for a Dragon is not where they live but where their family is because they are wonderfully loyal and loving. Tully likes everyone and everything!

Tully meeting and greeting with the Blue Bird

This is Tully's first Thanksgiving.  There were no dragons in Plymouth as I recall.

No dragons here!

He is getting very excited as he sees all the delicious ingredients for the meal arriving in my kitchen, Turkey, potatoes, brussel sprouts, pumpkin, chocolate!  He checks out each item with a swish of his tail.

Seriously, I only turned around for a second!

The great thing about Tully is he will try anything! He never turns up his little green dragon snout and he has NEVER attempted to blow a little fire at his plate. He has really good manners!

Now, he may not like everything but he always tries at least a bite. That is so nice for me because I don't love to cook but I cook for those I love.

I know Tully is thankful for his new family and we are very thankful to have him!

So, Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!

Teddy and Rascal have a New Friend

Friends are the best

They can bring a sunny smile to a gloomy day, create and share adventures with you or they can sit calmly and just look out the window.

My little dragon is adjusting to his new life in my house. The nice thing is I have a lot of windows and Tully loves to look outside.  He has gone out a few times but really prefers to be with me when he does.
He is a very friendly little chap and when I found out his name is Tully it made perfect sense because his name means "peaceful" in Gaelic. His full name is Sir Tully Tinder.
I was not sure how Teddy and Rascal would adjust to having a dragon in their home.  I mean have you EVER heard of Dragons and Cats together? This has to be a first.

Tully was enjoying watching the outside and was quietly swishing his tail and making a purring like sound, like a cat! My dragon does not talk but makes different sounds for different things. I will write about that another time as I am still learning.

I noticed Rascal had wandered over and as curious cats are likely to do began to look out in the same direction Tully was. What did they see?

Now, both were twitching their tails.

I adopted Rascal from a shelter when he was almost one.  He had been returned by his previous owner because he ate cords in the home.  And yes, it was true, he did and very expensive ones but he is a sweet little guy - like my dragon.

I walked away to do some office work and returned and found this! All three looking out the window, in the same direction with their tails swishing along the floor.  Clearly, despite drastic differences they have become friends.

Fur covered and fire breathing critter BFFs.

I am going to call my Best Friend right now!

I Adopted a Dragon Today

Today started as a normal day for me.  I woke up, I talked to my cats Teddy and Rascal, and I got ready for work.  It was a warm sunny day that makes you smile more and want to go to the beach.
I was finishing up a final errand and looking forward to going home. Like I said, a normal day.

Until this . . .

There was a dragon on my car!  Was I afraid? No, not really but I absolutely was surprised!
I figured out a few things very quickly.

1. It could fly because how else could it have gotten onto my side view mirror?
2. It was friendly because it never spit any fire at me.
3. My car needed a bath.

I picked the little critter up . . . carefully.  Kind of warm to the touch!  I placed it in the car on the passenger seat and reached for my seat belt.

I turned around and this is what I saw.

Now, I am fairly sure there has never been a dragon who passed their driver's test. They can fly, remember?  So, I knew my little dragon's plan to take the wheel was not going to happen.

I, once again picked up my passenger and put it in the right place and made sure to put the seat belt on this time!

I cannot believe I adopted a dragon today! What will the cats think?
