Sir Tully Sniffles

Tully is under the weather today.

I knew he was getting sick when he went to light the barbecue for me and all he could muster was a puff of smoke and a sniffle.  Poor little dragon.

Wish him well while he is snuggled up with a good book. Tully will be back to adventuring next week!

A Dragon Yarn

Sir Tully loved painting so much he has decided to learn more crafts.

I gave him several other options; sewing, scrap booking, making bracelets. He picked crochet. I would never have thought that would be it. I thought his claws would get in the way but he loves it!

I keep a bag of yarn near my couch so my hobby is always close by.  I let my little dragon choose some colorful yarn to work with.

He loved the blue and then Tully began to "explore his space" with his new ball of yarn.  I let him play for a while as I had some work to do myself.  I assumed he would stay on the nice green carpet.

But, as he is a playful fellow he could not resist waking Teddy up from his Cat Nap to have some fun.
Teddy was not thrilled but he settled in and they had a good time.

I was able to get this picture right before it became a yarn nightmare.

I am not sure Sir Tully will be great at crocheting but he certainly is happy to be trying something new. That is really the point though, isn't it? To try new things every now and then.

You can put yarn on almost anything! There are creative people out there who add yarn to objects already outside.

Sir Tully Tinder says, "GO MAKE SOMETHING! Then, play with the cat :)"

Paint Master Tully

Sir Tully likes to explore and he loves looking at the pictures I have on my wall.  I am very lucky because I am part of a wonderfully creative family.  My brother painted this picture of a dog I had when I was younger. Her name was Petula and she was so silly.  This picture is exactly what she looked like.

This past weekend, Tully and visited my Mom and he saw this in my bedroom.  There is a huge window that looks out on a green garden. Someone had been painting at my desk and this is what was left. When you paint there are times when you want to test the colors on your brush.  Tully liked this very much and has now decided he should paint too!

I have a box set of paint at my house so when we got home Tully insisted I get them out so he could get to work! He picked out a green that matches his dragon scales right away.

I also had an artificial flower in my art box. Do you have an art box? I keep all kinds of supplies in there so I always have something I can do or create.  Tully picked the flower for his picture. It reminded him of my Mother's garden.

You know what I think? I think it does not matter how Tully paints or how his flower looks because to him it is exactly as he sees and feels it.

Tully Whistles While He Works

Tully is very funny. He always wants to help me but he just seems to get into some kind of mischief!
My Mom gave us this little vacuum for Christmas and it is the perfect size for my little dragon.

The red machine is too heavy for Sir Tully to carry while flying so I just put it onto a chair so he can vacuum the blinds.  I am glad he likes to do this because I do not.  Partners we are!

As I mentioned, Tully can be silly at times.  He decided Teddy needed a bit of cleaning as well. Teddy does not looked too thrilled, does he? But, he is an incredibly tolerant cat and just sat there and waited for his dragon pal to finish his work.

Then Teddy grabbed him and gave him a preen or two. Fair is fair right?

Chores can be fun and with this crowd it always is!

Sir Tully Tinder Writes a Letter

Tully sees me using my computer a lot. My business relies on that. He also sees me reading and writing to people on it too.

So, he was thrilled when I took out my nice stationary to write some good old fashioned letters!

Tully, of course got in on it! He wrote a note to my Mom. Whom the grandkids all refer to as "Abu." Isn't that the best name?!  He spent some time with her over the holidays and liked her very much.

His penmanship is very nice! He uses his wings to hold up this big pen. Tully is a problem solver.

I promised myself I will write more letters to my niece and nephew this year. Here I sealed the envelope and my writing buddy put on the sticker he picked out at the store. I always think it is nice to add a little something extra.

His glasses are a little crooked but he really struggled with the stamp! He thinks it is funny I pay to send a letter when a dragon to just fly it wherever it has to go.

I wrote Thank You notes for my Christmas gifts today too. It is very important to do that. I believe when you handwrite a letter it lets your friends and family know you really care and appreciate what they did for you.

This book is fun!  All about pen pals and fairy tales. A perfect combo!
